You're right, and I've checked in the dependencies into the eric package a 
few moments ago (that way, they're in one place, ad can get easily removed 
for the distribution).
Unfortunately, the build system is under heavy factory build stress, thus it 
will take some time... Did you install python-sip, python-qt4, and the 
qscintilla packages as well from there (please note the -devel split)? 

I'm targeting for the most complete and fuzz-free eric packaging for now, 
and hope, that it will be adopted for 11.2. Apart from the missing 
PyQt4.api file in python-qt4, most of the basement is in KDE:Qt already, 
and after a bit of feedback, I'm going to submit eric with all its 
dependent packages as well.

BTW, with Derek Harland's fix to python-logilab-astng in place and Phil's 
fix to python-sip, I was able to actually use pylint with a PyQt4 project 
in a useful way (for the first time ever), even without rearranging the 
from PyQt4 import statements.

Thus, please keep testing them, it is much appreciated.
