[Eric] hang up under Windows XP

Hi.

At first I should say that the IDE appeared to be very cool,
as far as I have managed to work with it only for few minutes.
But after some time it stopped working.
At startup, only the initial progress screen appears which
disappears somewhere after plugin loading. Then, it
simply hangs up and no other window appears.

I  have checked that PyQt package is installed, and simple
QT "hello world" in python works too.
The other interesting fact is that eric modules like:
eric4-editor.py, eric4-diff.py are working fine.

Could you please give me some hints how this can be mended.
