would you accept patch for "highlight all" functionality for qsci?

Description: almost all SW I work on (using qsci) have search&replace
functionality where is expected "to highlight all occurrences of
searched string".

Problem: there is no simple Qt friendly api to ensure this thing. I
have to hack it with raw Scintilla calls etc. (note: I'm just
downloading the latest code to check it)

My idea is to provide findFirst(...) like method to highlight all
occurrences of given string/regexp with flags and indicator ID. I have
working code in many places so it just needs to be polished and reviewed.

But I'd like to know your opinion first before I'll do these unpopular
things...
