I see the same issue, but even with pure Qt applications like Qt
Designer.

There are some related bugs here:

However it seems like nothing really matches the issue I see...

Mind opening a new bugreport there with a screenshot? Or if you don't
have an account there, let me know and I'll take a closer look and
open one when I have the time.
