[PyQt] tracking mouse position with pyqt on command line

hi all,

is it possible to do that with pyqt?

i'm not sure whether low-level mouse handling is done by pyqt or left
to the operating system. also i would like the application to be a
command line application. the only thing it does is gather mouse
position (x,y -- screen coordinate) in a text file from time to time.
