[PyKDE] Qt4 XP unwanted shell window

I am having a bit of a problem with Python/Qt4/XP.

I have a QT app 'view.py' If I double click it in XP it starts a shell window 
then launches my app leaving me with 2 x windows on the taskbar.

If I link to my app and double click the link I again get a shell window and 
my app.

How do I launch my app without a blank shell window sticking around. If I 
delete the shell window - pop goes my app !

Any ideas
