True, although it does not have anything to do with selling. The GPL does not
hinder you from making money from your work, you just have to make the code
available as well. Everything you don't distribute is private, thus not touched
by the GPL.

Qt 4.2 does have MVC widgets and classes for item views etc. I've used them a
bit and found them to be quite complete and usable. Unfortunately, I don't know
Cocoa at all, so I can't help you with that.
