Just had a quick glimpse at the changelog, does

Worked around the Qt v4.1 bug with QPrinter::setPrintRange() and
QPrinter::printRange().

mean that one can now build PyQt4.0.1 against a debug-only Qt4.1? (I'll
try later, but would be nice to know wether I waste my time, before).
