Thank you for your reply.  I downloaded BlackAdder-1.0-031121.rpm from the
"download basket" and I still have the same problem.  After
rpm -U BlackAdder-1.0-031121.rpm, any attempt to generate python code
results in

"pyuic: File generated with too recent version of Qt Designer (v3.2 vs.
3.1.1)"

Attempts to upgrade pyqt results in

rpm -U PyQt-3.8-031106-py22-ucs2.rpm
file /usr/bin/sip from install of PyQt-3.8-031106 conflicts with file from
package sip-3.5-75
file /usr/include/python2.2/sip.h from install of PyQt-3.8-031106
conflicts with file from package sip-3.5-75
file /usr/include/python2.2/sipQt.h from install of PyQt-3.8-031106
conflicts with file from package sip-3.5-75
file /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/libsip.so from install of
PyQt-3.8-031106 conflicts with file from package sip-3.5-75
file /usr/bin/pylupdate from install of PyQt-3.8-031106 conflicts with
file from package PyQt-devel-3.5-54
