its own virtual environment. This does not need to be
activated. Actually I never activated any of my environments
used for testing eric-ide with various Python versions. By
having an eric-ide runtime environment you avoid messing with

Linux Mint. I recently started to use a virtual environment,

Today Eric would not start from the menu, but it started from
command line. I reinstalled and it is now working from menu
again, but it did raise a question in my mind. <br>

I install eric by following the commands under "Linux and macOS"
on the website. I ran this with my venv enabled, but should I
install it that way or should it be with venv disabled, or does
it make no difference? <br>
