These popups seem to be generated by the underlying libraries not by eric. I 
don't raise any of them in the eric code. Every now and then I observed 
similiar windows from Qt over here as well.

To get rid of the KDE stuff, you may start eric with the --nokde switch ar 
disable the usage of KDE dialogs and widgets on the Interface->Interface page 
of the config dialog.
